PHUHS Jazz Bands

PHUHS has two jazz bands.  The Jazz Diplomats is for our younger jazz students and The Jazz Ambassadors is for our more advanced jazz students.  PHUHS Jazz Bands meet daily during the regular school day.  Students will study the elements of jazz, various styles of jazz, improvisation, and soloing techniques.  The jazz bands perform at several concerts a year and at Music Performance Assessments, where they consistently earn high ratings.

In 2025, the Jazz Ambassadors performed at the Essentially Ellington Jazz Festival in Orlando, FL. This was the first time that PHUHS has been invited to perform at the prestigious festival.
